HARRIERS
Our club hosts cross-country, trail and road events every Saturday from April until October. Events are held all over the Eastern Bay of Plenty on public and private land.
Race day timetable
1.30pm - Arrive at the race base
1.35pm to 1.50pm - Sign up for a distance you'd like to compete in
1.50pm - Race briefing by club captain
2.00pm - Race begins
2.45pm - Race finishes (approx)
2.50pm - Race results read out and afternoon tea.
We hold a range of mini-championship events comprising 3-4 races, with participants scoring points for each of their performances. We also hold a specific cross country and road championship race during winter.
Our club also hosts weekly training sessions from the club rooms. These are open to everyone, regardless of age and ability, and have a different focus each night, to help develop you into a fitter, faster runner.

Monday, 5.15pm: Focus on running faster
Tuesday, 5.15pm: Focus on stamina and running further (flat run)
Wednesday, 5.15pm: 2km time trials
Thursday, 5.15pm: Focus on strength and running further (hill run)
